AMENDMENT TO CHAPTER 150.01 known as the Sewage Disposal Systems <br />Chapter of the City Code. <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 150.01 of the City Code. <br />The City of Ramsey ordains: <br />SECTION 1. AMENDMENT <br />Section 150.01 of the Ramsey City Code pertaining to <br />alternative treatment systems is amended to read as follows: <br />Communal Disposal Systems <br />The use of sewage collection systems with a common disposal <br />site (communal drainfields) is prohibited within the <br />designaced Metropolitan Urban Service Area (Referenced as 1990 <br />Urban Service Area Alternative). <br />Seepage Pits <br />The use of seepage pits is prohibited for disposal of sewage <br />effluent. <br />ORDINANCE #89716 <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />SECTION 2. REPEAL <br />Subsections pertaining to communal disposal systems and <br />seepage pits in the Ramsey City Code entitled "Sewage Disposal <br />Systems" chapter are hereby repealed only to the extent that <br />they are not applicable to subdivisions, improvement <br />applications, or system repair applications filed with the <br />City for approval after the effective date of this Ordinance. <br />SECTION 3. EFFECTIVE DATE <br />This Ordinance becomes effective upon its passage and thirty <br />(30) days after its publication according to law, subject to <br />City Charter Provision, Section 5.04. <br />PASSED by the City Council of the City of Ramsey, Minnesota <br />on the 25th day of July <br />, 1989. <br />
