Rivers Bend Stormwater Management Project <br /> engineer hired by Lightbridge and LRRWMO,it was <br /> agreed upon that the City would implement regional <br /> _ improvements for stormwater management.The project is <br /> at the west edge of Rivers Bend Park,west of the existing <br /> wetland that currently treats all stormwater runoff from a <br /> 38-acre commercial and residential area. <br /> This project will reduce phosphorus in stormwater <br /> In June 2016,the Anoka Conservation District runoff that eventually makes its way into the Rum River. <br /> (ACD) started exploring ways to improve stormwater It's being funded through the Minnesota Watershed <br /> management for the City of Ramsey and the Lower Based Implementation Funding Program (WBIF), <br /> Rum River Watershed Management Organization with LRRWMO, the City of Ramsey and private <br /> (LRRWMO).Their study found several exciting development contributions.We're excited about how <br /> projects that would enhance how rainwater drains these improvements will help protect our rivers. <br /> into the Mississippi and Rum Rivers.One standout <br /> recommendation was to enhance a wetland in Rivers Fun in 2024 Through Ramsey <br /> Bend Park, aimed at better-storing rainwater and <br /> reducing harmful sediment and nutrients like phosphorus Parks and Recreation <br /> that flow into the nearby Rum River.
