<br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />Work Plan <br /> <br />1.0 Define the Context <br /> <br />The purposes of this task will be to identify the existing <br />character and patterns that define the City of Ramsey and <br />develop an understanding of opportunities and challenges. <br />Here we will answer the question, "What Is This Place?" <br /> <br />Subtasks include the following: <br /> <br />1.1 Base mappin~. Using digital information provided by the <br />County or City the consultant will prepare a base map to be <br />used for the illustration of existing conditions, the analysis <br />and plans. <br /> <br />1.2 Meetin~ with Metropolitan Council Staff. It will be necessary <br />and appropriate to meet early with the Metropolitan Council <br />Staff to establish an understanding for plan preparation. <br /> <br />1.3 Data review. The Consultant will review previous inventories <br />and studies including the February 1997 Comprehensive Plan <br />Amendment, and the MNRRA Comprehensive Plan, which <br />information is to be provided by the City. <br /> <br />1.4 Meetin~ with City department heads. The purpose of this <br />early meeting will be to make sure that all City staff members <br />have excellent access to the planning process and can begin <br />to contribute to it from the beginning. This session will also <br />include a discussion of issues. <br /> <br />1.5 Information mappin~. The purpose of this subtask will be to <br />map existing conditions and the analysis using the City and <br />County GIS data base. This will result in the composite <br />mapping of the natural, historical and cultural framework or <br />patterns that define the City's character as well as its assets <br />and liabilities. It will also include the detailed mapping of <br />existing land use (optional). <br /> <br />1.6 Meetin~s with Staff. One meeting estimated. <br /> <br />1.7 Meetin~s with other ~overnmental units.
