7550 Sunwood Drive NW • Ramsey, MN 55303 <br />City Hall: 763.427.1410 • Fax: 763.427.5543 <br />www.cityoframsey.com <br />December 20, 2024 <br />The Honorable Elizabeth Strand <br />Chief Judge Tenth Judicial District <br />Wright County District Court <br />3700 Braddock Avenue, Room 1100 <br />Buffalo, MN 55313 <br />Re: City of Ramsey, Anoka County, Minnesota, Charter Commission Annual Report <br />Dear Judge Strand: <br />In accordance with Minnesota Statutes 410.05, the following is an annual report reflecting the <br />activities of the City of Ramsey Charter Commission during the year 2023. <br />Members of the Charter Commission for year 2023 were as follows: Jim Bendtsen, Benjamin <br />Deemer, Joseph Field (Chair), Joshua Fuhreck (Vice -Chair), Victor Jumah, Jennifer Leistico, <br />David May, Laura Moore and Amy Rusert. <br />The Commission fulfilled their requirement of meeting at least once during the year by calling a <br />meeting to order on Wednesday evening, February 2, 2023. The Commission conducted the <br />following business: <br />1. Introduce New Charter Commission Members <br />2. Review Ordinance #22-26 Amending City Charter Prohibiting Membership on City Boards <br />and Commissions of Non -City Residents. <br />3. Review Proposed Amendments to Section 4.1 and 4.2 of Chapter 4 of the Charter — <br />Nominations and Elections <br />4. Continue Review of Amendments to Chapter 4 of the Charter - Nominations and Elections <br />5. Review Proposed Charter Amendment Brought Forward by Commissioner Bendtsen <br />The minutes from the February 2, 2023 meeting are attached. <br />It is our mission to work together to responsibly grow our community, <br />and to provide quality, cost-effective, and efficient government services. <br />
