e '. - Residents were asked a short series of questions about park and recreation needs. They were queried about their level of information about current offerings and their general view of the adequacy of facilities in the City of Ramsey. Ratings 9f each component of the park system were garnered, as were general evaluations of the sufficiency of present offerings. Future opportunities were discussed in terms of the tax increases necessary for their construction. Finally, the trade-off between park development and open space preservation was examined. Information Level Residents were asked: Let's talk about park and recreation opportunities in Ramsey. In general, how well informed are you about the Ramsey park systemandfacilities - would you say you are very well informed, somewhat informed, not too well informed, or not at all informed? Sixty-seven percent reported they were "very well informed" or "somewhat well informed" about the Ramsey Park System and its facilities: VERY WELL INFORMED. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .. 19% SOMEWHAT INFORMED. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 48% NOT TOO WELL INFORMED ....................... 24% NOT AT ALL INFORMED. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .. . . . . . . . . 9% Thirty-three percent felt "not too well informed" or "not at all informed." Higher information levels were registered by over twenty year residents, owners of under $100,000 homes, and owners of over $125,000 homes. Lower information levels were posted by less than five year residents and residents of Precinct 1A.
