• • <br />CASE # <br />ADOPT ORDINANCE TO ESTABLISH <br />DEVELOPMENT MORATORIUM ON CERTAIN PARCELS LOCATED ON HWY. #10 <br />N.W., ADJACENT TO CITY OF ANOKA; CASE OF CITY OF RAMSEY <br />By: Zoning Administrator Sylvia Frolik <br />Background: <br />On September 22, 1998, the City Council introduced an ordinance to place a development <br />moratorium on certain parcels located on Hwy. #10 N.W., just west of the Anoka Hennepin <br />Technical College. The purpose of the moratorium is to take time to study issues such as <br />compatible land uses and appropriate future land uses as they pertain to the possibility of the <br />technical college expanding to the west into Ramsey's city limits. <br />Notification: <br />Per Council's direction, the affected property owners have been notified of the intent for <br />moratorium. <br />Observations: <br />In accordance with the City Charter, the moratorium ordinance is now eligible for adoption. <br />Recommendation: <br />City Staff recommends adoption of the ordinance, which is enclosed along with a map of the <br />affected parcels. <br />Council Action: <br />Motion to adopt Ordinance #98-_ to establish a moratorium on the development of certain <br />parcels located on the north side of Hwy. #10 N.W., adjacent to the Anoka/Ramsey border. <br />Review Checklist: <br />City Administrator <br />City Attorney <br />Community Development Director <br />Hoisington Koegler Group <br />CC: 10/13/98 <br />
