No <br />• <br />CITY COUNCIL <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />• <br />The Ramsey City Council conducted a special meeting on Wednesday„December 3, 1997, at the <br />Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br />Members Present: <br />Also Present: <br />Mayor Thomas Gamec <br />Councilmember Carolyn Beahen <br />Councilmember Sheila Beyer <br />Councilmember Natalie Haas Steffen <br />Councilmember Gerald Zimmerman <br />Acting City Administrator Linda Waite Smith <br />Finance Officer Jessie Hart <br />Fire Chief Dean Kapier <br />CALL TO ORDER <br />Mayor Gamec called the special meeting of the City Council to order at 6:50 p.m. <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br />None <br />APPROVE AGENDA <br />Motion by Councilmember Haas Steffen and seconded by Councilmember Beahen to approve <br />the agenda as presented. <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Ham Steffen, Beahen, Beyer and <br />Zimmerman. Voting No: None. <br />COUNCIL BUSINESS <br />Case #1: Consider Extension of Residential Rezoning and Subdividing Moratorium <br />Background: Council passed a six-month development moratorium on residential rezoning and <br />subdividing which will expire on January 13, 1998. The Comprehensive Plan amendment and <br />studies are proceeding in a timely fashion, however, this process will not be completed by the <br />expiration date of the current moratorium.
