The pUIpOse of this letter is to relate the City of Ramseyts desires with regard to improvement projects listed in the Anon County Five Year Highway Improvemem Plan. Please consider these comments as YOll and the County Public Works Cormninee update this Five Year PIBll. Two reasons for this project" acceleration include the facr mat the CitY willshonly complete a corridor study along T.R. #47. This corridor study defines more . clearly the extent. of the project than in the past. I feel that the proposed scope of the project represents a reduction over that which may ha.ve been 'anticipated in the past. It would also b: desirable to schedule this project for FY 1999 when MnDOT is proposing to do several construction projects along T.R. #47, ~hich will likely involve a detour of th~ highway. Secolld.Jhe City remains highly Supportive of the e^tension of~,G.R.:tf:116 between;G.~:~_#56andv'''' ~LC.RE;#g3tl'which is currently scheduled for 1998. Because C.R. #116 represents a critical infrastnlcmre element in the rapidly developing RamseY/Anoka industrial area. the City encourages the consideration of the further expansion of CoR. #116 from C.R. #83 to T.R. #10. . Third. the City req uests the consideration of expanding:c:.R:' # 116 between. ~R:: #57. . and..T ;H~ #4=7~' and ;C~R;~#:57 bet'N~: C.R:.~#U6,B.nd;I~H;,..!F1O froin tWo to four lanes. The PUIpose of ooth these requests stem from the City's anticipation of heavy traffic generation from the developing COIn..'nerci.a1['mdustrial area adjacent to these routes. Finally, the City requests the consideration of the improvement of C~R. #6~ between C.R. #83 and.. C.S.A.a #5~:..
