Table 5 highlights the
major employers in the City of Ramsey.

Table 7 Major Employers
Business Name
Mate Precision Tooling
An<?ka Electric Cooperative
Vision Ease
Altron, Inc.
Parabody
Ramsey Elementary School
Listul
Command Corporation
Wendell's
Accent Kitchen Design
City of Ramsey
Grosslein Beverage
Alexontrend
Waltek
Capco
Automated EDM
Heritage Millwork
Detail Tool
Carbon Products Tech
Barkela
Spectrum Fitness
Source: City of Ramsey, 1997

Product or Service
ManufacturingfTool and Die
Electric Utility
Manufacturing/Optical Lens
Manufacturing! Based on available information
Ramsey's employment base appears to be primarily manufacturing related. 1990 Census
information indicates that of the available labor force in Ramsey, 82.5% are actively
working. This compares to the state percentage of 69.7% and Anoka County percentage
of 79.3%. Five percent of the civilian labor force in Ramsey was unemployed in 1990, a
rate not uncommon to the County and State.

City of Ramsey Comprehensive Plan

Page 11
