It has been enclosed as requested. Basically what we are asking is that you provide us with matrices of population, household and employment data by TAZ for the years 2000,2010 and 2020, This information will be incorporated into the Council's travel demand forecasting models, through which we can determine transportation needs for the region. In the past the Council estimated these T AZ-Ievel numbers based on known "base-year" data. We have since come to acknowledge that the communities themselves have a far better idea as to where they expect development to occur than we do. Consequently we decided to ask for your input in this effort at this critical stage of the forecasting work. In order to assist you with these numbers, the community's most recent forecasts have been enclosed, along with a map of the T AZs within Ramsey, and a T AZ-distribution that was completed during an earlier effort around 1993. It was thought that this set of numbers might still be relatively valid, although based on a different set of community totals. In any event it would give you an indication of what had been developed by the city at an earlier date. If you have any questions or conems over this, please give me a call at 602-1340.
