The Dayton
staff has had a chance to read over your Plan. We would like to commend you and your
community for a very well put-together Comprehensive Plan. While reading over the Plan a few
questions and / or concerns came to mind.

Please allow us to relay these comments and concerns to you. They are as follows:

1. A potential commuter rail corridor is identified along US Highway 10. Other than this proposed
form of mass transit, will there be other forms of mass transit extended into Ramsey as development
continues?

2. On the future Land Use Map, a development staging plan is represented. In the south-central part
of Ramsey, is the staging based on the idea that a river bridge could be built around the year 2020?

3. Dayton's Comprehensive Plan does not include a Solar Access Protection Plan. Is this a section
of the Plan that other communities should be including?

4. The Dayton City Council has recently approved eliminating the easterly river bridge alignment on
its Transportation Plan. The Dayton City Council has discussed the request from the Ramsey City
Council regarding this issue. The Dayton Planning Commission and City Council has made the
statement that they would encourage the location of a bridge crossing site to be placed as far west
within Dayton as possible. How would this proposal line up with Ramsey's plans?

5. Ramsey's proposed Park & Trail plan identifies trails leading all the way up to the Mississippi
River. If a river bridge was to be built, would Ramsey have any desire to link their parks & trails
system with Dayton's?
