<br />e <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />ordinance adds two new performance standards for non-residential uses, including underground <br />irrigation of landscaped areas and prohibits flat roofs on non-residential buildings if it is deemed <br />by the City to be incompatible with neighboring residential development. <br /> <br />Community Development Director Sherman stated copies of the revised Chapter 9 would be <br />distributed after staff completes the Comprehensive Planning process. <br /> <br />Commissioner Jensen indicated both color renderings and color~ material samples are requested <br />in Ordinance #99-xx, Section 9.03.06, Subdivision 1, c13. Commissioner Dempsey suggested <br />c13 be reworded to the following: Color rendering(s), and, when requested by the City, colored <br />material samples. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Johnson, seconded by Commissioner Dempsey, to recommend the <br />Ramsey City Council adopt Ordinance 99-XX amending Sections 9.03.06 (Site Plan Review) and <br />9.11.20 (Non-Residential Performance Standards) of the City Code, with revisions as <br />recommended by Planning Commission. <br /> <br />Motion Carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Anderson, Commissioners Johnson, Dempsey, Jensen, <br />Kociscak, Nixt, and Wivoda. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Case #10: <br /> <br />Summary of Comprehensive Plan Public Hearing Comments <br /> <br />Community Development Director Sherman stated the City has been working on the development <br />of an updated Comprehensive Plan since August of 1997. The public hearing for public review <br />and comment on the document was held on December 1, 1998, and continued to December 3, <br />1998. She indicated an extension to March 31, 1999, for the submittal to the Metropolitan <br />Council was requested. The extension will allow additional time to review and finalize the <br />document for submittal. She requested the Planning Commission select a date to meet with the <br />City Council to discuss the Comprehensive Plan. <br /> <br />Planning Commission consensus was to meet with the City CouIlcil at 5:30 p.m. on January 25, <br />1999. They also agreed to meet February 2, 1999, one-half hour prior to the regular meeting in <br />order to have an orientation and discuss Planning Commission procedures. <br /> <br />Case #11: <br /> <br />Monthly Status Report <br /> <br />Chairperson Anderson requested status on items within the Monthly Status Report be reviewed at <br />a future meeting. <br /> <br />Case #12: <br /> <br />Zoning Bulletin and Zoning News <br /> <br />Noted. <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />Planning Commission/January 5,1999 <br />Page 10 of 11 <br />
