TRANSPORTATION

The City's transportation system is dominated by T.H. #10, the principal arterial link with the
metropolitan region. T .H. #10 is the only highway in the City which is part of the Metropolitan
Highway System (Figure 7). The County's 2010 plan indicates that T .H. #10 is operating at a
level of service "D" or better through Ramsey. No capaCity improvements are planned for T.H.
#10 through 2010. The City has begun implementation of a frontage road system on the south
side of T .H. #10 with a similar frontage road planned to serve the north side. The currently
requested MUSA expansion will allow for the completion of the frontage road from County Road
#57 to County Road #56. The frontage roads should help to alleviate traffic congestion by
minimizing access points, limiting movements at uncontrolled intersections and eliminating a
significant number of short trips on T .H. #10.

II
Ifl....
:1

1 4
