<br />PUBLIC WORKS <br /> <br />Engineering - The Engineering Department is responsible for the construction administration of public <br />improvement projects, private improvement projects and site developments in accordance with <br />city standards and good engineering practices. The department is also responsible for the special <br />assessment of public improvement projects. <br /> <br />Street Maintenance - This function is responsible for the costs associated with the planning, organizing, <br />and coordination of the maintenance of the city street system. These costs include street <br />sweeping, storm water drainage and general repairs and maintenance <br /> <br />Snow and Ice Removal - All costs associated with the effective removal of snow and ice on city streets <br />are accumulated under this cost center. <br /> <br />::>., <br />
