MAYOR, COUNCIL AND STAFF INPUT <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />1) Reschedule City Council Meeting of September 12 due to the Primary Election <br /> <br />City Administrator Norman indicated the City Council meeting scheduled for September 12, <br />2006, needs to be rescheduled due to the primary election. He suggested the meeting be <br />rescheduled to Monday, September 11,2006. <br /> <br />Consensus of the Council was to direct staff to reschedule the September 12, 2006 City Council <br />meeting to September 11, 2006. <br /> <br />2) Rescheduled Work Session <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec noted the August 14, 2006 Council work session has been rescheduled to <br />Monday, August 13th at 5:00 p.m. City Administrator Norman indicated a special assessment <br />hearing has been scheduled following this work session. <br /> <br />3) Council Requests <br /> <br />Councilmember Jeffrey requested a future Public Works Committee meeting include an agenda <br />item to discuss a resident request for a street light at the entrance to Rivers Bend Park. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec directed staff to determine if the street light that was taken down at 160th and <br />Highway 4 7 has been put back up. <br /> <br />Councilmember Strommen noted there have been increasing scheduling problems with the new <br />Council Update format with two council members. She requested a discussion of whether the <br />Council Update should return to the old format. Consensus of the Council was to include the <br />discussion at the August 13,2006 work session. <br /> <br />Councilmember Elvig congratulated staff for their efforts with the district soccer tournament that <br />was held in Ramsey. He stated he has received good feedback from individuals involved in <br />soccer and the residents near the park. <br /> <br />4) Staff Updates <br /> <br />Public Works Director Olson announced Ramsey Boulevard will be opened near the intersection <br />of 157th and 158th Avenues by Thursday, August 10, which will open Ramsey Boulevard all the <br />way to Highway 10. CR 116 and Dysprosium Street will be opened as of Thursday, August 10th, <br />and it is expected that Ramsey Boulevard and Highway 10 will be opened within 1 ~.weeks. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Strommen, seconded by Councilmember Cook, to adjourn the <br />meeting. <br /> <br />City Council / August 8, 2006 <br />Page 28 of 29 <br />
