<br />of said Highway to its intersection with a line drawn parallel with the south line of <br />said North Half of Southeast Quarter distant 174.30 feet north of the north line of <br />said South 554.81 feet of the North Half of Southeast Quarter; thence North 88 <br />degrees 49 minutes 27 seconds East a distance of 872.80 feet to a point on said last <br />described line distant 740.32 feet West of the East line of said North Half of the <br />Southeast Quarter as measured along said last described line; thence South 0 <br />degrees 20 minutes 48 seconds East and parallel with the east line of said <br />Southeast Quarter a distance of 392.14 feet to the south line of said north 217.80 <br />feet of the south 554.81 feet; thence South 88 degrees 49 minutes 27 seconds West <br />along said last described line a distance of 333.98 feet to a point on a line which <br />bears South 30 degrees 32 minutes 28 seconds East from point of beginning; <br />thence North 30 degrees 32 minutes 28 seconds West a distance of 249.91 feet to <br />the point of beginning. <br /> <br />(The Subject Property) <br /> <br />AND WHEREAS, the Comprehensive Plan approved in 2001 shows the Subject <br />Property designated land use as Places to Shop, Public/Quasi-Public and Low Density <br />Residential; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the property owners are requesting that the Subject Property designated <br />land use of Places to Shop and Public/Quasi-Public be changed to Low Density Residential, and <br />that the designated land use of Low Density Residential be changed to Public/Quasi-Public; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the development occurring in the vicinity of the Subject Property consists <br />of low density residential, commercial, and public/quasi-public uses; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the reconfiguration of the land use designations on the Subject Property <br />will compliment the existing and future development in the vicinity; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, City Council has expressed a strong desire to preserve the land around the <br />current City Hall campus for a future school and fire station use; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Ramsey Planning Commission met on November 3, 2005, conducted a <br />public hearing, and recommended that the Ramsey City Council approve the Applicant's request <br />for an amendment to the Comprehensive Plan. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) That the Ramsey City Council hereby approves the request for a land use designation change <br />of the Subject Property from Places to Shop and Public/Quasi-Public to Low Density <br />Residential. <br /> <br />2) That the Ramsey City Council hereby approves the request for a land use designation change <br />of the Subject Property from Low Density Residential to Public/Quasi-Public. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #05-11-389 <br />Page 4 of5 <br />
