The amendment proposes to change. the land use designation for 23 acr"es located at the
northwest comer of Sunfish Lake Blvd at 153Td Lane NW from Rural Developing to Low Density
Residential.

At its May 24, 2000 regular meeting, the governing body of the Council identified certain types of local
comprehensive plan amendments that may be reviewed by Council staff without further formal review by
the governing body of the Council. Council staff applied the plan review waiver criteria established by
the Council's governing body and finds that the amendment is in conformance with metropolitan system
plans, consistent with the Regional Development Framework, and has no impact on the plans of other
units oflocal government. Therefore, the Council will waive further review and the City may place this
amendment into effect.

However, staff offers t~e folloWingadVisor)f comment:

On the Metro GIS system, the northwest part of the property includes areas identified in the National
Wetlands Inventory as well as areas identified in the Regional Natural Resource Inventory and
Assessment. The map showing these inventoried areas is.attached and you may find them helpful in
revieWing development plans for the site.

The amendment, explanatory materials supplied and the information submission form will be appended to
the City's Plan in the Council's files.
