Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION #25-009 <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING SPEED STUDY REQUEST FOR ARMSTRONG <br /> BOULEVARD / CSAH 83 BETWEEN HIGHWAY 10 AND BUNKER LAKE <br /> BOULEVARD / CSAH 116 <br /> WHEREAS, the existing posted speed limit on Armstrong Boulevard / CSAH 83 <br /> between Highway 10 and Bunker Lake Boulevard/ CSAH 116 is 55 mph; and <br /> WHEREAS, Anoka County staff reviewed available speed and crash data for this <br /> segment of Armstrong Boulevard / CSAH 83 and feel a lower posted speed limit may be <br /> warranted and therefore support a speed study request; and <br /> WHEREAS, Minnesota Statute 169.14 allows local road authorities to pass a resolution <br /> requesting a speed study investigation by MnDOT; and <br /> WHEREAS, the local road authority that owns and operates the road segment to be <br /> studied is responsible to submit the speed study request to MnDOT; and <br /> WHEREAS, Armstrong Boulevard/CSAH 83 is owned and operated by Anoka County. <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: <br /> That the Ramsey City Council hereby authorizes the City Engineer to submit a request to <br /> Anoka County for the Minnesota Department of Transportation to complete a speed study <br /> on Armstrong Boulevard/ CSAH 83 between Highway 10 and Bunker Lake Boulevard/ <br /> CSAH 116. <br /> The motion for adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br /> , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> and the following voted against the same: <br /> RESOLUTION #25-009 <br /> Page 1 of 2 <br />
