Where the sampler cannot be driven at least 6 inches by <br />50 blows of the hammer, the total number of blows as well as the distance driven is reported on the <br />boring logs. <br />Groundwater levels were noted during drilling and immediately after completion. The holes were <br />backfilled with the auger cuttings. Some settlement of the bore holes may be expected. All the borings <br />were conducted with a truck mounted rig. <br />Exploration Results: <br />All of the borings were conducted in existing gravel surfaced streets and encountered 5 to 12 <br />inches of aggregate at the surface.
