<br />CITY COUNCIL <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey City Council conducted a regular meeting on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, at the <br />Ramsey Municipal Center, 7550 Sunwood Drive NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: Mayor Ryan Heineman <br />Councilmember Kirsten Buscher <br />Councilmember Michael Olson <br />Councilmember Eric Peters <br />Councilmember Chris Riley (attended remotely) <br />Councilmember Dan Specht <br />Councilmember Shanna Stewart <br /> <br />Members Absent: None <br /> <br />Also Present: City Administrator Brian Hagen <br /> City Clerk Katie Schmidt <br /> Economic Development Manager Sean Sullivan <br /> Community Development Director Stephanie Hanson <br />1. CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Heineman called the regular meeting of the Ramsey City Council to order at 7:00 p.m., <br />followed by the Pledge of Allegiance led by Mayor Heineman <br />2. PRESENTATION <br />2:01: Swearing-in Ceremony for Mayor Ryan Heineman, Councilmember At-Large <br />Kirsten Buscher, Ward 2 Councilmember Eric Peters, and Ward 4 Councilmember <br />Shanna Stewart. <br /> <br />City Clerk Schmidt gave the Oath of Office to new Mayor Heineman and Councilmembers <br />Buscher, Peters, and Stewart. <br />3. CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />Minnesota Senator Jim Abeler, former Ramsey resident, came forward and congratulated the new <br />Councilmembers and Mayor. He shared that both sides of the legislature sat down and hammered <br />out a power share agreement that would make the City proud. He said he is available for any help <br />the City needs. <br /> <br />Minnesota State Auditor Julie Blaha, Ramsey resident, came forward and shared that she can not <br />think of anywhere better to be than here to see new Councilmembers sworn in.
