Special Revenue Funds (continued) JFTNANC11ATf STITMi UIR7 (Continued) Landfill Abatement Fund: The Landfill Abatement Fund is used to account for landfill abatement activities and efforts. The funding sources consist mainly of interfund transfers, grants, donations and charges to residents for abatement activities. The fund balance as of December 31, 1994 was $11,141, which represents an increase of $3,992 over the prior year of $7,149. Community Development Block Grant Fund: The Community Development Block Grant Fund is utilized as a pass through fund to account for all revenues and expenditures in conjunction with the County Community Development Block Grant activities. The fund balance as of December 31, 1994 was $0. Minnesota Department of Natural Resources Grant Fund: The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources Grant Fund was established to account for all revenues and expenditures associated with the Small Business Administration (SBA) Natural Resources Development Program Community Tree Planting Grant and the Oak Wilt Suppression program. The fund balance as of December 31, 1994 was $(2,272), compared to $10,797 on December 31, 1993. Future Sealcoating Fund: The Future Sealcoating Fund is used to account for contributions from developers and property owners for future sealcoating projects. The fund balance was $223,272 on December 31, 1994, which represented a decrease of $30,153 from the prior year. Future Street Lighting Fund: The Future Street Lighting Fund is used to account for contributions from developers and property owners for the future installation of priority intersection street lights. The fund balance as of December 31, 1994 was $13,540, compared to $16,975 the prior year. xi
