Special Revenue Funds (continued) <br />JFTNANC11ATf STITMi UIR7 <br />(Continued) <br />Landfill Abatement Fund: <br />The Landfill Abatement Fund is used to account for landfill abatement activities and efforts. <br />The funding sources consist mainly of interfund transfers, grants, donations and charges to <br />residents for abatement activities. <br />The fund balance as of December 31, 1994 was $11,141, which represents an increase of <br />$3,992 over the prior year of $7,149. <br />Community Development Block Grant Fund: <br />The Community Development Block Grant Fund is utilized as a pass through fund to <br />account for all revenues and expenditures in conjunction with the County Community <br />Development Block Grant activities. <br />The fund balance as of December 31, 1994 was $0. <br />Minnesota Department of Natural Resources Grant Fund: <br />The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources Grant Fund was established to account <br />for all revenues and expenditures associated with the Small Business Administration (SBA) <br />Natural Resources Development Program Community Tree Planting Grant and the Oak <br />Wilt Suppression program. <br />The fund balance as of December 31, 1994 was $(2,272), compared to $10,797 on <br />December 31, 1993. <br />Future Sealcoating Fund: <br />The Future Sealcoating Fund is used to account for contributions from developers and <br />property owners for future sealcoating projects. <br />The fund balance was $223,272 on December 31, 1994, which represented a decrease of <br />$30,153 from the prior year. <br />Future Street Lighting Fund: <br />The Future Street Lighting Fund is used to account for contributions from developers and <br />property owners for the future installation of priority intersection street lights. <br />The fund balance as of December 31, 1994 was $13,540, compared to $16,975 the prior <br />year. <br />xi <br />
