Special Revenue Funds (continued) <br />Landfill Abatement Fund: <br />IFRNANCIIAIi_. §F(C7CJI®N <br />(Continued) <br />The Landfill Abatement Fund is used to account for landfill abatement activities and efforts. <br />The funding sources consist mainly of interfund transfers, grants, donations and charges to <br />residents for abatement activities. <br />The fund balance as of December 31, 1993 was $7,149, which represents an increase of <br />$3,566 over the prior year of $3,583. <br />Community Development Block Grant Fund: <br />The Community Development Block Grant Fund is utilized as a pass through fund to <br />account for all revenues and expenditures in conjunction with the County Community <br />Development Block Grant activities. <br />The fund balance as of December 31, 1993 was a deficit of $6,269, which is anticipated to <br />be collected from other governmental units early in 1994 to recoup CDBG project costs. <br />Community Tree Planting Grant Fund: <br />The Community Tree Planting Grant Fund was established to account for all revenues and <br />expenditures associated with the Small Business Administration (SBA) Natural Resources <br />Development Program Community Tree Planting Grant and the Oak Wilt Suppression <br />program. <br />The fund balance as of December 31, 1993 was $10,797, compared to $150 on December <br />31, 1992. <br />Future Sealcoating Fund: <br />The Future Sealcoating Fund is used to account for contributions from developers and <br />property owners for future sealcoating projects. <br />The fund balance was $253,425 on December 31, 1993, which represented an increase of <br />$48,211 over the prior year. <br />Future Streetlighting Fund: <br />The Future Streetlighting Fund is used to account for contributions from developers and <br />property owners for the future installation of priority intersection street lights. <br />The fund balance as of December 31, 1993 was $16,975, compared to $17,691 the prior <br />year. <br />ix <br />
