Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #25-039 <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING PROPOSAL FOR INTERIM STORMWATER <br />MANAGEMENT AND WATER RESOURCES ENGINEERING SERVICES <br />WHEREAS, the Civil Engineer IV position in Engineering will be vacated soon due to a <br />pending retirement; and <br />WHEREAS, this position is responsible for completing numerous stormwater <br />management and water resources duties; and <br />WHEREAS, other staff do not currently possess the required knowledge, skills and <br />abilities to fulfill these duties until the vacant position can be filled and required training can be <br />completed to allow these duties to be successfully fulfilled in-house again; and <br />WHEREAS, Bolton & Menk has a positive working relationship with staff and has <br />provided engineering support services to the city in the past on similar stormwater management <br />and water resources tasks so staff requested they submit an interim stormwater management and <br />water resources engineering services proposal; and <br />WHEREAS, Bolton & Menk is available to provide immediate assistance and proposes to <br />bill the city on an hourly basis as outlined within their proposal; and <br />WHEREAS, Bolton & Menk's fees will be paid using stormwater funds and private <br />development escrows, which is the same funding split utilized for the Civil Engineer IV position. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />1) The City Council hereby approves said professional services proposal from Bolton & Menk, Inc. <br />to provide interim stormwater management and water resources engineering services for and on <br />behalf of the City of Ramsey. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />
