<br />mSTORIC BACKGROUND <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />[continued] <br /> <br />The City provides a variety of municipal ~ervices. These include a full-time police department, a <br />volunteer fire department, engineering services, street and park maintenance, building inspection, <br />planning and -ionil1g, public improvements, general administrative services, and public water and <br />sewer utilities in the urban service areas. <br /> <br />Businesses in Ramsey curre~tly employ over 1,300 people. Local business leaders report that <br />Ramsey is a nice place to operate a business because its residents are loyal to those who provide <br />jobs inside the City's borders.
