We're Hiring! Two (2) Police Officers Salary: $37.786 - $48.443 Hourly Closing Date: Open Until Filed The primary objectives of this position: to maintain order, keeping the peace and responding to citizen's needs by discouraging crimes through high -visibility policing, investigative capability and the subsequent reporting and apprehension of suspected violators of the law. The position reports to the Police Sergeant. Successful applicants must have at least an Associate's degree in Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement or equivalent qualifications meeting the state of Minnesota's requirements to become an Officer. The 2025 salary range for this position is: $37.786/hour to $48.443/hour. The 2025 longevity range for this position is: After 5: $49.412/hour - After 8: $50.381/hour - After 12: $51.350/ hour - After 16: $52.318/hour. This is a full-time LELS Patrol union position. Part-time Police Technician Salary: $28.79 - $31.67 Hourly Closing Date: February 23, 2025 The primary objectives of this position: to perform various technical and specialized functions and administrative tasks in support of the Police Department. This role involves providing customer service support and exercising discretion while building relationships with community members, residents and City staff. A high degree of tact, courtesy, confidentiality and sound judgment is essential. Additionally, the position requires substantial knowledge of state statutes, offense codes, City ordinances and department policies. Other duties include, but are not limited to, entering, maintaining, retrieving and compiling factual information through numerous computerized systems and disseminating this information to authorized agencies and persons. This position will also monitor compliance by applying knowledge of data privacy practice requirements, respond to the public who will make telephone or in -person contact and classify crimes pursuant to applicable state and federal reporting systems. The position reports to the Police Department Office Supervisor. Hiring Range -- $28.795 to $31.674 per hour, depending on qualifications. The full 2025 Salary Range: Step 1 $28.795 — Step 2 $30.235 — Step 3 $31.674 — Step 4 $33.114 — Step 5 $34.554 — Step 6 $35.993/hour — This is a part-time AFSCME union position working 25 hours per week. There is flexibility within the Monday through Friday 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. schedule, subject to supervisor approval. CITY OF RAMSEY City UPDATE February 14, 2025 Building Maintenance Worker Salary: $26.615 - $29.276 Hourly Closing Date: March 2, 2025 The primary objective of this position: to assist in maintaining City facilities including, but not limited to buildings, offices, meeting rooms, HVAC equipment and grounds of the Ramsey Municipal Center, Fire Stations, City Parks, Public Works Facility and the Municipal Parking Ramp. The position reports to the Building Maintenance Supervisor. This is a full-time AFSCME Union position working 40 hours a week. Monday through Thursday working from 1:30 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. This position requires flexibility within the normal schedule in order to provide coverage for elections/voting, snow removal activities, or other tasks as needed. The 2025 hiring range is: Step 1: $26.615 to Step 3: $29.276/hour depending on qualifications. The 2025 wage scale is: Step 1 $26.615 - Step 2 $27.945 - Step 3 $29.276 - Step 4 $30.607 - Step 5 $31.938 - Step 6 $33.268/hour depending on qualifications. Benefits begin day 1!
