Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption:
<br /> RESOLUTION#25-025
<br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING FINAL PAYMENT TO DAVE PERKINS CONTRACTING, INC.
<br /> FOR HALLS DOVER ACRES STREET RECONSTRUCTION,IMPROVEMENT PROJECT#24-
<br /> 02
<br /> WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey proposes to reconstruct the streets within the Halls Dover Acres
<br /> subdivision; and
<br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution #23-130, adopted June 13, 2023, the
<br /> City Council accepted and awarded the proposal to Bolton & Menk, Inc., for topographic survey of the
<br /> project area; and
<br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution #23-129, adopted June 27, 2023, the
<br /> City Council accepted and awarded the proposal to Chosen Valley Testing, Inc., for a geotechnical report
<br /> of the project area; and
<br /> WHEREAS,pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution#23-198, adopted August 22,2023,the
<br /> City Council ordered the City Engineer to prepare plans and specifications for said improvements; and
<br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution#24-014, adopted on January 9, 2024,
<br /> the City Council approved final plans and specification as prepared by the City Engineer and authorized
<br /> advertisement for bids for the same improvements; and
<br /> WHEREAS,proposals were received for Construction Staking and As-built Survey of$27,144.00
<br /> from Bolton and Menk, Inc. for said improvements; and
<br /> WHEREAS,pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution#24-064, adopted February 27,2024, a
<br /> contract was awarded to Dave Perkins Contracting, Inc of Nowthen, Minnesota, in the amount of
<br /> $844,919.01 for said improvements; and
<br /> WHEREAS, as of February 25, 2025 $964,753.07 has been paid to date; and
<br /> WHEREAS,the Senior Engineering Technician has inspected the completed work and
<br /> recommends final payment to Dave Perkins Contracting, Inc. of Nowthen Minnesota, for improvement
<br /> project#24-02 Halls Dover Acres Street Reconstruction, in the amount of$17,299.98.
<br /> NOW THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
<br /> RAMSEY,ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA:
<br /> 1) The City Council hereby authorizes final payment to Dave Perkins Contracting, Inc of Nowthen,
<br /> Minnesota for Improvement Project#24-02,Halls Dover Acres Street Reconstruction in the amount
<br /> of$17,299.98.
<br /> 2) The City Council hereby accepts the project and authorizes the Mayor and City Administrator to
<br /> sign the release form for this payment.
<br /> 3) The total amount of this payment is not included in resolutions approving payment of bills for the
<br /> date of February 25, 2025.
