Councilmember Pearson introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #06- 10 -XXX RESOLUTION APPROVING CHANGE ORDER NO. 4 FOR CONSTRUCTION OF IMPROVEMENT PROJECT 02 -34, RAMSEY MUNICIPAL PARKING FACILITY WHEREAS, the Facilities Committee has authority to approve change orders in excess of $10,000 and less than $25,000 with City Council ratification; and WHEREAS, the City Administrator and Assistant Public Works Director have the authority to approve change orders of up to $10,000 with City Council ratification; and WHEREAS, the approved Contract allows for a 2% construction contingency of $145,000; and WHEREAS, Change Order No 1 was approved by the City Council on October 11, 2005; and WHEREAS, Change Order No 2 was approved by the City Council on May 23, 2006; and WHEREAS, Change Order No 3 was approved by the City Council on August 22, 2006; and WHEREAS, the following change orders have been requested and approved by the City Administrator and Public Works Director and need City Council ratification; 1. Electrical modifications at Stair A - $5,150 2. Hardened Air retests - $6,350 3. Glass replacement - $7,000 4. Liquidated Damages including bituminous - ($56,250) NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1. The above mentioned change orders have been approved. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Elvig, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Gamec Councilmember Pearson Councilmember Elvig Councilmember Cook Councilmember Jeffrey and the following voted against the same: RESOLUTION #06- 10 -XXX Page 1 of 2 -105-
