<br />Councilmember Riley introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption:

<br />RESOLUTION #25-040
<br />
<br />RESOLUTION APPROVING FINAL PAYMENT TO NORTHWEST ASPHALT, INC.
<br />FOR MSA ALPINE DRIVE RECONSTRUCTION, IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #24-11
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey proposes to reconstruct MSA Alpine Drive between
<br />Puma Street and Armstrong Boulevard as identified within the 2023 – 2032 10-Year Capital
<br />Improvement Program; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution #23-130, adopted June 13,
<br />2023, the City Council accepted and awarded the proposal to Bolton & Menk, Inc., for topographic
<br />survey of the project area; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution #23-129, adopted June 27,
<br />2023, the City Council accepted and awarded the proposal to Independent Testing Technologies,
<br />Inc., for a geotechnical report of the project area; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution #23-201, adopted August 22,
<br />2023, the City Council ordered the City Engineer to prepare plans and specification for said
<br />improvements; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution #24-043, adopted January 23,
<br />2024 the City Council approved final plans and specification as prepared by the City Engineer and
<br />authorized advertisement for bids for the same improvements; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, proposals were received for Construction Staking and As-built Survey of
<br />$15,426.00 from Bolton and Menk, Inc. for said improvements; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Ramsey City Council Resolution #24-076, adopted March 26,
<br />2024, a contract was awarded to Northwest Asphalt, Inc. of Shakopee, Minnesota in the amount
<br />of $1,009,971.93 for said improvements; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, as of February 25, 2025 $976,679.15 has been paid to date; and
<br />
<br /> WHEREAS, the Senior Engineering Technician has inspected the completed work and
<br />recommends final payment to Northwest Asphalt, Inc. of Shakopee Minnesota, for improvement
<br />project #24-11 MSA Alpine Drive Reconstruction, in the amount of $92,866.93.
<br />
<br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
<br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA:
<br />
<br />1) The City Council hereby authorizes final payment to Northwest Asphalt, Inc. of Shakopee,
<br />Minnesota for Improvement Project #24-11, MSA Alpine Drive Reconstruction in the
<br />amount of $92,866.93.
