CASE #: <br />RESOLUTION RECEIVING BIDS AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR <br />IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #01 -21, WATER TOWER NO. 1 REPAINTING <br />By: Steve Jankowski, City Engineer <br />Background: <br />Following Water Tower No. 1 being placed into service in early July, the City will have an <br />opportunity to repaint Water Tower No. 1. The actual work will take place in fall 2001 when <br />temperature and humidity conditions are favorable for painting. In the fall, the peak summer <br />water demand period has passed which also makes it a suitable period for this work. <br />On March 27, 2001, City Council approved the plans and specifications for Improvement Project <br />#01 -21 (Water Tower No. 1 Repainting). Pursuant to an advertisement for bid, an opening was <br />performed on Wednesday, May 2, 2001. Attached is a tabulation of bids submitted by four <br />painting contractors.
