Consent# 4P <br />SIX MONTH REVIEW OF FINANCIAL ADVISORY SERVICES <br />By: Diana Lund, Finance Officer <br />Background: <br />On October 10, 2000, City Council awarded the City of Ramsey's Financial Advisory <br />Consulting services to the firm of Juran and Moody. As part of the motion, staff was to <br />review the services received from Juran and Moody for a period of six months. <br />During the six -month period, Mr. Paul Donna of Juran and Moody has worked with staff <br />in the preparation and sale of two TIF bonds for the Maken and Sauter properties. Mr. <br />Donna was very much involved in working closely with the TIF Specialist and myself in <br />addressing the financing needs of these two projects. <br />Currently, staff is working with Mr. Donna to complete a fiscal impact analysis of the <br />City for the years of 2002 -2006. This study will be used to plan for growth related and <br />capital needs. <br />Staff has been very satisfied with the service received from Juran and Moody. They have <br />contacted staff on a regular basis and have responded promptly when a question was <br />raised. <br />Staff Recommendation: <br />Staff recommends that the firm of Juran and Moody be retained as the City's Financial <br />Advisor. <br />Council Action: <br />Accept staff recommendation to retain the Financial Advisory Firm of Juran and Moody <br />as the City of Ramsey's financial advisor. <br />Reviewed By: <br />City Administrator <br />Finance Officer <br />-53- <br />
