CASE # I <br />LIONS PICNIC /APPLICATION FOR A <br />ONE -DAY 3.2 MALT LIQUOR LICENSE <br />By: Jo Thieling, City Clerk <br />Background: <br />The Ramsey Lions are again applying for a one -day, 3.2% malt liquor license for the Community <br />Picnic that is scheduled for Saturday, June 2, 2001, at Central Park. The Ramsey Lions have <br />provided all of the necessary documents required for issuance of this type of license. Under City <br />Code, it is a permissible activity to grant a 3.2 %, malt liquor license to the Ramsey Lions Club <br />for this. event. <br />As has been done in the past, City staff is requesting Council waive the license fee. The Lions <br />Club is non - profit and generously gives to the community. <br />Council Action: <br />Motion to approve application for the Ramsey Lions Club for a one -day, 3.2% malt liquor <br />license for the Community Picnic scheduled for Saturday, June 2, 2001, at Central Park; <br />- and <br />Motion to approve staff's request to waive the fee for such an event. <br />Reviewed by: <br />City Clerk <br />City Administrator <br />Police Chief <br />Finance Officer <br />CC: 05/08/01 <br />_81_ <br />
