The proposed improvements are designated as City Improvement Project #25-09, 2025 Crack Seal Improvements. <br />Notification: <br />Advertisements were published in the Anoka Union Herald on January 28 and February 7, 2025. Bids were also <br />advertised on-line on Quest CDN. <br />Letters are not mailed to property owners for crack seal improvements due to the relatively minor impacts to <br />property owners and the traveling public during these projects. Adding indirect costs in the amount of 5-percent brings <br />the total project costs to $162,486.96. <br />Per the final plans and specifications, estimated construction costs were $221,714.20. After adding 5-percent for <br />indirect costs for administrative, engineering, finance and legal costs, estimated project costs totaled $232,799.91. <br />The low bid is 30-percent lower than the engineer's estimate. <br />City Staff proposes to administer and inspect construction. <br />Plans and specifications were prepared in-house as part of Staffs normal duties. <br />Recommendation: <br />Staff recommends adopting Resolution #25-054 accepting bids and awarding contract for 2025 Crack Seal <br />Improvements, Improvement Project #25-09. <br />Outcome/Action: <br />
