<br />Counci1member Pearson introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #06-08-257 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING PAY NO 1 TO RYAN CONTRACTING FOR <br />IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #06-24 EBONY ADDITION UTILITY AND STREET <br />IMPROVEMENTS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Hakanson Anderson Associates Inc. has prepared plans and specifications for <br />Improvement Project 06-24 which consist of bituminous surfacing, drainage improvements, sanitary <br />sewer, watermain, and miscellaneous construction on Ebony Street from 1418t Avenue to McKinley <br />Street; and bituminous surfacing and drainage improvements on McKinley Street from Ebony Street <br />to the western boundary of the Ebony Addition; and has presented such plans and specifications to the <br />Council for approval; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on May 23, 2006, City Council adopted a resolution approving the plans and <br />specifications for the above referenced work; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the Improvement Project #06-24, bids were <br />received, opened and tabulated according to law; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Public Works Director/Principa1 Engineer Brian Olson has inspected the completed <br />work and recommends partial pay No 1 to Ryan Contracting in the amount of$217,179.50. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: <br /> <br />That the City Council hereby authorizes partial payment to Ryan Contracting for Improvement <br />Project #06-24 in the amount of$217,179.50. <br /> <br />2) That the City Council hereby accepts the project and authorizes the Mayor or City <br />Administrator to sign the release form for this payment. <br /> <br />3) That the total amount of this payment is not included in resolutions approving payment of <br />bills for the date of August 22, 2006. <br /> <br />4) That the City of Ramsey Finance Department will be provided a signed copy of this <br />resolution. <br /> <br />v/'. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Counci1member E1vig, <br />and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec <br />Councilmember Pearson <br />Counci1member Elvig <br />Councilmember Cook <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #06-08-257 <br />Page 1 of2 <br />
