<br />Councilmember Pearson introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #06-08-263 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING 3rd PARTIAL PAYMENT TO PARK CONSTRUCTION <br />FOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #05-20 RAMSEY BOULEVARD IMPROVEMENTS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on January 24, 2006, City Council adopted Resolution #06-01-035 <br />approving the plans and specifications for the above referenced work; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the Improvement Project #05-20, <br />bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on April 11th, 2006, City Council adopted Resolution #06-04-118 awarding <br />the contract to Park Construction: <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Public Works Director/Principal Engineer Brian Olson has inspected the <br />completed work and recommends 1 st partial payment to Park Construction in the amount of <br />$279,512.73. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Public Works Director/Principal Engineer Brian Olson has inspected the <br />completed work and recommends 2nd partial payment to Park Construction in the amount of <br />$472,494.13. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Public Works Director/Principal Engineer Brian Olson has inspected the <br />completed work and recommends 3rd partial payment to Park Construction in the amount of <br />$745,433.39. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: <br /> <br />1) That the City Council hereby authorizes partial payment to Park Construction for <br />Improvement Project #05-20 in the amount of$745,433.39. <br /> <br />2) That the City Council hereby accepts the project and authorizes the Mayor or City <br />Administrator to sign the release form for this payment. <br /> <br />3) That the total amount of this payment is not included in resolutions approving payment of <br />bills for the date of August 22, 2006. <br /> <br />4) That the City of Ramsey Finance Department will be provided a signed copy of this <br />resolution. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Elvig, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #06-08-263 <br />Page 1 of2 <br />
