<br />Councilmember Stewart introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION # 25-056 <br />RESOLUTION UPDATING THE NON-UNION POST EMPLOYMENT HEALTHCARE <br />SAVINGS PLAN <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City’s Personnel Policy includes non-union post-employment healthcare <br />savings plan (PEHCSP) language for all non-union employees hired after January 1, 1984; and <br />WHEREAS, non-union employees have voted to update the PEHCSP; and <br />WHEREAS, employee eligibility requirements must be agreed to by the employer and <br />included in a written personnel policy; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the non-union group has two (2) tiers: PERA Coordinated members and <br />PERA Police and Fire members and the plan shall be administered as follows; and <br /> <br />PERA COORDINATED MEMBERS <br /> GROSS WAGES: Employees shall contribute 2% of their gross wages after 1 year of service <br />until reaching eligibility to draw their PERA pension (age 55), at such time increase the <br />contribution to 4% of gross wages and continue thereafter. Eligibility to draw the PERA <br />pension shall take precedent over the duration of employment. <br /> VACATION SEVERANCE: Employees shall, upon separation of employment, contribute <br />unused accrued vacation time, as follows: <br /> <br /> <br />Years of Regular Severance Contribution of Severance Payable <br />Employment Served Unused Vacation Directly to Employee <br />Time to the HCSP <br />5 years 50% 50% <br />10 years 75% 25% <br />15 years and greater 100% 0% <br /> <br />PERA POLICE & FIRE MEMBERS <br /> GROSS WAGES: Employees shall contribute 2% of gross wages after 1 year of service <br />th <br />until reaching the 5 year before being eligible to draw their PERA pension (age 50), at such <br />time increase the contribution to 6% of gross wages and continue thereafter. Eligibility to <br />draw the PERA pension shall take precedent over the duration of employment. <br /> VACATION SEVERANCE: Employees shall, upon separation of employment, contribute <br />100% of their unused accrued vacation time. <br /> <br />
