We were told that we could address our carm::mts to you
with regard to our feelings on this matter.

We buH t our hare in Ramsey 12-1/2 years ago. We purchased our
lot three years prior to that, before the airport was in existence at
its present site. We ~e attracted to this area because of the
quiet, country-type atIoosphere that is offered in this carmuni ty . To
expand the present airport, which is big enough as far as I'm
concerned, would diminish the peaceful atIoosphere that draws so many
people to live in this area.

Both my husband and I are originally fran Brooklyn Center. If we
had wanted city life, we would have stayed there. We chose to live in
Ramsey because it afforded us the quality of life that we wanted for
our family. Please don't destroy this by enlarging the airport, thus
attracting the kind of atIoosphere that we rroved away fran.

It was very evident at the meeting last night that this
idea is an extremely unpopl1ar one. I do not feel that this proposal
would benefit the residents of our city. I realize that progress is
important, but there has to be a better way to achieve this goal. To
quote a concerned citizen fran last night's meeting, "If having an
airport of this size is such a "plum," then why isn't every city
c1anm::>ring for one?"

Thank you for your time and consideration in this matter.

jb

cc: City of Ramsey Airport Carmission

I
