Construction of <br />McKinley Street and the Extension of Ebony Street is completed making the site much <br />more marketable. <br /> <br />Minnesota Waterjet- The City Council Approved the TIF Assistance package for this <br />project on July 11, 2006. A site plan was approved at the. September 26th City Council <br />Meeting. Closing for the land should occur in late October and the footing should be in <br />prior to the snow flying. . <br /> <br />Light manufacturer - Staff received an inquiry form the State of Minnesota regarding a <br />business based in Florida looking to move to the region. Staff provided information to <br />the State of Minnesota and a tour of some ~ites in Ramsey was given. The business <br />(confidential) was pleased with Ramsey and has contacted Staff for additional <br />information. The project would be 72,000 Square Feet. Staff met with the <br />aforementioned company on Thursday, October 12, 2006. A City tour was conducted <br />and Lot 4, Block 1, Sunfish Lake Business Park 2nd Addition was shown to the business. <br />The site is a bit large for the initial construction size of 72,000 but it would allow for the <br />business to expand at some point. The deal will be a great talking point as to the <br />Assistance Case on this meeting's agenda. The manufacturer will get back the City with <br />its final decision sometime in the next few weeks. We have done well, considering this <br />company if from out of state and we made the fmal 5 site selection. <br /> <br />Business Grand Openine:s:. Minks Custom homes will have a grand opening on November <br />16th from 4PM to 8 PM. The EDA is welcome and a brochure will be provided at a later date. <br />This grand opening seems like it will be quite the celebration with clowns and everything.
