Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #06- 10 -XXX RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CHANGE ORDER FOR THE ADDITION OF WATER AND SEPTIC SERVICES FOR THE NEW PARK SHELTER AT CENTRAL PARK WHEREAS, the Ramsey Lions Club has generously donated $367,000 for a new Park Shelter at Central Park; and WHEREAS, adding water and septic service to the Shelter will aid the youth association in concession sales, and greatly improve the quality of use of the Shelter and park; and WHEREAS, a quote was obtained for certain building improvements for plumbing, electrical and fixtures for restroom facilities for $36,710; and WHEREAS, an estimate has been prepared for the costs to purchase and install water and septic conduit from the existing park building to new park Shelter of $7,700; and WHEREAS, Lawful Gambling proceeds are collected by the City and held in a Fund for the benefit of Ramsey resident's recreational improvements NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the City Council of the City of Ramsey authorizes a Change Order in the amount of $36,710 for DNR Construction Services, and additionally appropriates $7,700 for certain plumbing, electrical, fixtures, and conduits, to provide restroom and related facilities for the new Park Shelter at Central Park, with the $44,410 in funding from the Lawful Gambling Fund. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember , and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: and the following voted against the same: and the following abstained: and the following were absent: Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 24 day of October, 2006.
