<br />,. .,,~ ._r."i"'v,.~ ..,. - ;, ..-- <br /> <br />Commissioner Shumway stated that the multi-trail system could also be <br />c:ieveloped all along the route fran the Mississippi River through Burns. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Shumway and seconded by Commissioner Ippel to <br />forward to City Council the recommendation to approve the concept and <br />cievelop right-Of-ways for the realignment and extension of Cty. Rd. #83. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairmans Greenberg- and Zimmerman, <br />Canmissioners Shumway, Holm, Terry, Greenberg, Fults and Ippel. VOting No: <br />None. Absent: Caranissioners Hendriksen, Howell, LaDue, Wagner, Bardin, <br />Vevea, Muller and Gorecki. <br /> <br />Chairman Greenberg stated that the Hwy. ~10 study points' out that Ramsey's <br />identi ty needs to be inprOV'ed upon. <br /> <br />Chainnan Ippel presented a rough draft' of the first Economic Development <br />Corrpany newsletter which will be used to pranote Ramsey. <br /> <br />Commissioner Fults stated that Ramsey's identity needs to be promoted <br />beyond the surrounding area and in areas south of the TWin Cities. <br /> <br />Discussion ensued regarding the neec- for hotel/motel facilities in the <br />area. <br /> <br />Those present agreed that pranoting Ramsey's identity is a task for the <br />Econanic Developnent Corronission. <br /> <br />- . <br /> <br />Mr. James l'artin arrived and was shown the concept for the Mississippi <br />,River bridge crossing and the realignment of Cty. Rd. *83; he was in favor <br />of the concept. <br /> <br />Chainnan Greenberg stateD that ,another issue brought out in the Bwv. *10 <br />study is the need for an inventory and directory of existing busin~sse's. <br /> <br />It was agreed that the Econanic Deve10pnent Canpany, ".rith funding, could do <br />an inventory and directory of existing businesses. . <br /> <br />Cnairrnan Greenberg stated that the Planning Canrnission should be involved <br />in the marketing position and strategy referred to in the Hwy. *10 study, <br />e~pecia11y zoning within zoning. <br /> <br />It was determined that there should be another joint meeting of the EOC: and <br />P&Z commissions to ciiscuss zoning and signage issues. <br /> <br />]IDJ0URNMENl' <br /> <br />The meeting acjournea at 9:~5 p.m. <br /> <br />Respectfully submitted, <br /> <br />,,--- <br />'- ~ <br />"-."
