Councilnenber DeLuca agreed with the specs indicating the <br />level of maintenance that will be required at each park but suggested that <br />the requirements on the biacier be reduced. <br /> <br />Based on COuncil discussion, Mr. Hartley stated that he- would re\Hite the <br />specs for park maintenance aE. follows: a) reduce insurability, client <br />references and organizational ciata reguirenents on biaders; b) categorize <br />all p::rks by desired level of maintenance: c) divide the city in half ano <br />prepare a balanced package for two sets of park maintenance specs. <br /> <br />~se 4114: South Of u.s. Highway 4110 Utilities: Elofson/Nagele Sign. <br />Conpany: <br /> <br />Mr. Hartley stated that the City is in the process of acquiring fee title <br />to an 80 foot wide street right-of-way for the extension of Sunfish Lake <br />Blvd. N.W. south of U.E. Hwy. tlO from Mr. and Mrs. Ralph ~lofson. . A <br />portion of that property is leased to Nagele Sign Company fo~ an <br />advertising. sign until May 15, 1991. If the sign iE removed, the Ci.ty <br />coulo be in a position of paying for 3 years of revenue fran the si;n. An <br />agreement has been proposed with the Elofsons to move the sign to the <br />western edge of the property, with the sign becoming 2-sided ano extending <br />the lease for 3 years.'. . <br /> <br />Motion by Councilnember Sorteberg ana seconoed by Councilmernber DeLuca to <br />approve relocating the advertising sign to the western eoge of the Elofson <br />property, subject to the City's appropriate setbacks: allo.ving the sign to <br />become n7c-sided; allowing the lease term to be e~tended to expire <br />September 1, 1994; and the El of son , oS collecting the sign rental. <br /> <br />Further Discussion: Council requested that Mr. Bartley pursue having <br />'Welcome to Ramsey' noteC on the advertising sign. Councilmernber Pearson <br />stated that after acquiring- road right-of-way, the City would own the <br />property on which the sign is located and the lease: it would then be the <br />City's option to cease the lease. l>1r. Goodr ich repl ied that if Nagele <br />loses it's right to have a sign by the City's acquisition of right-of-\o;ay, <br />Nagele can request the city to compensate the projected revenues for the <br />term of the lease. <br /> <br />Motion carried.
