J~c.: <br /> <br />Mr. Otto noted that EQB and Hetro Gouncil have indicated that it would be <br />prexuature for Ramsey to take action on the Conditional Use Permit prior to <br />a determinaticn on the adequacy of the EIS. <br /> <br />Hr. Goodrich noted that the City does have the ab ility to take ac tion on a <br />conditional use pe~it contingent upon EIS completion. <br /> <br />Mr. Otto noted that in staff's opinion, approving the condtional use permit <br />on a contingency basis undermines any areas of concern previously raised by <br />City Council. <br /> <br />John Heinen - 6370 143rd Lane - Stated that he is in favor of. the City <br />grar,ting Waste Y..anagement the conditional use permit because be feels the <br />expansion will allo"-T for proper closure of the site and the ski hill "Till <br />bringsi:rrouncing property values back cp. <br /> <br />COJ.lncil proceeded to review the proposed conditional use permit~ <br />Hr. Goodrich stated that he has <br />received indications that under no circumstances "'Tould AnokaCounty agree <br />to this require~ent. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Bawden and seconded by Councilmember Scrteberg to <br />delete Item f.47 from the proposed conditional use permit. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Cot.:.ncilmembers Sorteberg, <br />DeLuca, Pearson and Bawden.
