That meeting Ogte <br />conflicts with Ramsey City Council meeting date but Ramsey should be <br />completing the survey ane returning it. Mayor Reimann st~ted that he is <br />not so concerned vith transportation improvements forgetting peoplet.o <br />~~inneapclis but rather to ,,-here stc.tistics indicate people ere g()ing. <br />Hayor Reimann stated that each councilmen-tber should complete the survey and <br />return it to Mr. Hartley; Nr. Hartley ,,~il1 cor:pile the comments andsub:::.t <br />thew to the Anoka Cour.t)' Transportation Comrr.ittee. <br /> <br />e) Code enforcement - <br /> <br />Er. Hartley stated that City Staff has been pcrsuing enfcrcing v~r~cus <br />ordinances in the City Code in a uniform manner. particularly rel~ting to <br />signs and screening. Hr. Bartley stated that he cc-esn't ,,'ant to consume <br />staff time on enforcement if Council intends to make special exceptions <br />through conditional use pen::its. Each time Council receives an application <br />fora conditional use pert:lit or variance thst cieyiates frOI!l'\o7hat city c cde <br />says, it weakens the position of enforcement the city is trying to <br />r.aintQin. Then it becomes a situation of setting precedence and not being <br />able to deny subsequent applicants and the standard becomes a non-coI!l'plying <br />use rather than a complying use. Mr. Hartley stated that he intends to <br />have City Staff map out sll existin~ violations for Council to use in <br />cieten:ining whether ordinances need amending or enforcing. <br /> <br />f) Council/City Staff Workshop - <br /> <br />Hr.
