W. , Rams ey, <br />Minnesota regarding a request to va.cate a drainage easement in Northfork. <br /> <br />Hembets Present: HayorGary Reimann <br />Councilmembet AlSorteberg <br />Councilmember Al Pears on <br />Councilmember David Bawden <br />Councilmember Steve neLuca <br /> <br />Alsol'resent: <br /> <br />City Administrator David Hartley <br />Acting Zoning Administrator Merland Otto <br />City .Attorney William Goodrich <br />City Engineer Peter Raatikka <br />Finance Officer Sandra Ashley <br /> <br />CALL rOORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Reimann called the public hearing to order at 7:45p.m.. <br /> <br />PRESENTATION <br /> <br />City Engineer Raatikka stated that North Fork, Inc. is requesting that the <br />City vacate a drainage easement on Lot 4, Block 4, in Northfork. <br /> <br />Hr. Dennis Peck - Project Manager - Northfork - Mr. Peck stated that after <br />the Northfork plat was approved and filed, the engineers determined that it <br />would be more appropriate to develop the area with urban versus rural speC <br />roads. This change created a need for a dedicated drainage easement on Lot <br />4, Block 4. Consequently, this drainage easement did not get recorded on <br />the plat and a home was approved for construction withinthatdrsinage <br />easement. That' home is due for closing next week. Mr. Peck stated that <br />North Fork ~ngineers and City Engineer Raatikka are researcbinEan <br />alternative method of drainage. North Fork will provide an alternative for <br />the drainage and any financial security required for same for Council <br />consideration of vacating that drainage easement at this time soasnot to <br />delay the closing on the home. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />j <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Sorteberg and seconded by Councilmember Bawden to <br />City Council Public Rearing/September 27,1988 <br /> <br />Pagel of 2 <br /> <br />I~ <br />
