City Staff is <br />suggesting aggregation of 1985-88 CDBG funds andtbat they be used to <br />expand River's Bend Park to include a passive use for senior citizen.s and <br />handicapped persons. <br /> <br />Acting Zoning Administrator Otto stated that City Staff has developed a <br />conceptual plan for the proposed park e,~pansion and met,-'ith <br />representatives of the handicapped and elderly. <br /> <br />CITIZEN n~PUT <br /> <br />Jack Ippel - 16443 Jaspar Street K.W. - Stated that the park expansion ~s a <br />good idea and suggested that the City apply for another LAWCOK grant. <br /> <br />Mr. Otto replied that the Clty received a LAWCOK grant for development of <br />the northern portien of River's Bend Park only; the possibility of <br />obtaining another LAWCON grant for the soutberly portion of the park is <br />remote. <br /> <br />Jack Ippel - Stated that some of the CDBG funds proposed f or the park <br />expansion were originally designated for the Economic Development Company <br />Revolving Loan Fund.
