<br />) <br /> <br />PROCEEDINGS OF CITY COUNCIL <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey City Council conducted a special meeting on Tuesday, July 19, <br />1988 at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Blvd. N.W., Ramsey, <br />Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: Councilmember Steve DeLuca <br />Councilmember Al Pearson <br />Councilmember Al Sorteberg <br /> <br />Also Present: City Administrator David Hartley <br />City Engineer Peter Raatikka <br /> <br />Members Absent: Mayor Gary Reimann <br />Councilmember Arnie Cox <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Councilmember DeLuca called the special City Council meeting to order at <br />7:35 p.m. and led in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />1 <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Pearson and seconded by Councilmember Sorteberg to <br />approve the agenda as submitted. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: <br />Voting No: None. Absent: <br /> <br />Councilmembers Sorteberg, DeLuca and Pearson. <br />~~yor Reimann and Councilmember Cox. <br /> <br />COUNCIL BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #1: Review Lower Rum River Mana~ement Or~anization: <br /> <br />Mr. Raatikka recalled that in 1985, the City entered into a joint powers <br />agreement with the cities of Andover, Anoka and Coon Rapids to form the <br />Lower Rum River Watershed Management Organization. Over the past 3 years, <br />that organization has been preparing a plan and at this point is submitting <br />it to Ramsey for review and comment. The purpose of the plan is to provide <br />for conservation of water and natural resources, prevention and alleviation <br />of flood damage and regulation of creeks, lakes and water courses for <br />domestic, recreational and public use across municipal boundaries. <br /> <br />Mr. Raatikka reviewed the plan with Council. <br /> <br />City-Council/July 19,1988 <br /> <br />Page 1 of 2 <br /> <br />~3 <br />
