Absent: Councilmember Cox. <br /> <br />COUNCIL BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case 411: Request For Conditional Use Permit To Construct And Operate A <br />Contract Burn Incinerator In An Industrially Zoned Area Of <br />Ramsev; Case Of Atlas Incinerators. Inc.: <br /> <br />A. Application Presentation And Closing Remarks - <br /> <br />Mr. Labat - President of Atlas Incinerators, Inc. - Stated that Item #62 is <br />a key paragraph in the proposed findings of fact. It states that: "Atlas, <br />in it's letter of 7/21/88, Page 9 of General Comments, requests ...'the <br />City Council for the City of Ramsey, to grant us a Conditional Use Permit <br />to operate a facility for waste incineration at the rate of 38 tons a day, <br />maximum throughput, in conjunction with our manufacturing, R&D efforts and <br />corporate offices for Atlas. We are asking Ramsey to delegate the <br />authority to the MPCA to make the decision as to whether the project is <br />environmentally acceptable and if the MPCA will grant us an operating <br />'~ City Council/July 27, 1988 <br /> <br />Page 2 of 9 <br /> <br />80 <br />
