W., Ramsey, <br />Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: Mayor Gary Reimann <br />Councilnenber Arnie Cox <br />Councilnember Al Pearson <br />Councilnember Steve DeLuca <br />Councilmernber Al SOrteberg <br /> <br />Also Present: City Administrator DavJ.d Hartley <br />City Attorney William Goodrlch <br />City Engineer Peter Raatikka <br />Community Developnent Director Anne Norris <br /> <br />Q.LL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Reimann called the regular City Council neeting to order at 7:41 p.m. <br />and led in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br /> <br />CIT! ZEN INPIJI' <br /> <br />Wilbur Dorn - City Attorney for Ham Lake - Stated that as a result of <br />CORONA's discussions regarding street improvement projects, Senator Danl <br />introduced Senate Bill 18-62 to amend State Statute Chapter 444 to allow <br />establishing taxing districts for street improvements. Representative <br />Larsen is requesting input frem Ramsey before he makes a decision to co- <br />sponsor the bill. Mr. Dorn noted that this legislation is supported by the <br />League of Mirmesota Cities. <br /> <br />Dave Bawden - Requested that City Council give consideration to adopting an <br />ordinance that ....'ould restrict the issuance of charitable gambling 1 icenses <br />to organizations that are based in Ramsey and that utilize the proceeds for <br />P~y's benefit. <br /> <br />~PROVAL OF AGENDA <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmernber Sorteberg and seconded by Councilmember Cox to <br />approve the agenda with the following adaitions: <br /> <br />Case *10: Review status of Ramsey's proposal to Anoka County <br />regarding the Rum River Bridge Crossing. <br /> <br />Case *11: Request for metes and bounds subdivision; case of Bladholm <br />and Tiller Corporations (Commercial Asphalt). <br /> <br />City CounCil/February 24, 1988 <br /> <br />Page 3 of 13 <br /> <br />41, <br />
