Voting No: None. <br /> <br />flJClyor Reimann, Councilnanbers DeLuca, Cox and <br />Absent: Councilnernbe r Sorteberg. <br /> <br />Case i2: Request For Wild Animal License: Case Of Mr. Torn Guyer: <br /> <br />Ms" Norris reported that Planning and Zoning has recommended approval of <br />Ill:Q Guyer's request to keep to black bears on his pro}?erty at 15408 Sunfish <br />Lake Blvd. <br /> <br />Mr. Goodrich stated that approving the license would require granting <br />variances to minimum lot size, minimum distance between animal enclosure <br />and nearest neighboring residential structure and side yard setback for <br />animal enclosures. <br /> <br />Councilmember Cox noted that unless there are intentions to grant variances <br />to the ordinance requirements for keeping wild animals , the minimum <br />setbacks are alnost inpossible to meet on a 2.5 acre lot and the ordinance <br />should be amended to either increase minimum lot size or decrease setbacks. <br /> <br />A discussion ensued regarding the proposed secondary enclosure for the <br />animals and liability insurance. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilnanber Cox and seconded by Councilrrenber Pearson to adopt <br />Findings of Fact 0196, amended as follows, relating to Mr. Torn Guyer's <br />request for a wild amInal license: (Please refer to findings of fact file <br />for Findings of Fact 0196) . <br /> <br />i23 should read: 'That the Applicant has taken steps to render the two <br />bears presently on the site harIT~ess by declawing, neutering and <br />removing the canine teeth of the male bear and removing the front claws <br />of the female bear.' <br /> <br />!lotion carried.
