<br />Motion by Councilmember Sorteberg and seconded by Councilmember DeLuca to <br />adopt Resolution #87-282 receiving bids and awarding contract for ~ell <br />improvements at Central Park to E.H. Renner and Sons. (Please refer to <br />resolution file for Resolution #87-282). <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Cox, <br />DeLuca and Pearson. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Sorteberg and seconded by Gouncilmember Cox to <br />adopt Resolution #87-283 receiving bids and awarding contract for hockey <br />rink lighting and electrical service improvements at Central Park to <br />Killmer Electric. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />k) Review articles regarding Ramsey's sewer capacity and renaming of Anoka <br />Area Chamber of Commerce - <br /> <br />Mr. Hartley stated that via reporting being done by the City of Dayton <br />regarding alternatives for developing, Me tro Counc il has indica ted that <br />Dayton can gain additional capacity from that which the City of Rams ey "Tas <br />allocated but "Till not be needing. Mr. Hartley stated he ",ill be <br />contacting Metro Council to review Ramsey's plans for utilizatiCn of it's <br />sewer capacity. <br /> <br />Council asked that Mr. Hartley report back to Council after meeting with <br />Metro Council; Councilmember DeLuca requested a copy of the subject <br />article. <br /> <br />Mr. Hartley noted that there wes a front page article in the Anoka Area <br />Chamber of Commerce newsletter requesting suggestions for the renaming of <br />the organization. <br /> <br />m) Recent complaints regarding sno'V."lllobilers - <br /> <br />l~r. Hartley presented Council "Tith a copy 0: Statute statutes regarding <br />snowmobiles, which is what is being currently enforced in Ramsey. <br /> <br />Council noted that with more development. stricter laws regulating <br />snowmobiling will be required to protect private property. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember DeLuca and seconded by Councilmember Cox directinf, <br />that the Park and Recreation Commission and the Sno-Rams review anc make <br />recommendations for a municipal ordinance regarding snowmobiles that will <br />protect private property and maintained boulevards. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann. Councilmembers Sorteberb' Cox, <br />DeLuca and Pearson.
