Major <br />area of study was Land Capability Analysis with emphasis on Intensive Land Use Manage- <br />ment. Minor area of study was Geography with emphasis on Cartography. <br /> <br />Work Experience: Employed by Waste Management Inc. since October 1982. Experienced <br />in landfill operation and management as well as new site construction and re-construc- <br />tion. Major project involvement in waste to energy, and landfill liquid waste treat- <br />ment facility construction. <br /> <br />In addition, I have waste hauling experience as the Operations Manager for Waste <br />Management-Blaine. I have direct supervision responsibilities over 32 trucks serving <br />residential and commercial customers. During the past year, I have had direct exper- <br />ience planning and establishing Waste Management's recycling programs for the Metro <br />area. <br /> <br />As a result of my experience in the waste industry, I feel I can bring valuable insight <br />to the Landfill Commission. I am directly involved with the establishment of waste <br />reduction and resource recovery projects with my company. I am able to offer the <br />opinion of the industry in regards to which methods are best considered when faced <br />with meeting county mandates. I feel that the Landfill Commission must have access to <br />the opinions and experience of a wide range of individuals related to the waste manage- <br />ment issue.
